Information

Located in a site at Chandlers Ford, the new Hampshire Constabulary headquarters building will be a circa £25m refurbishment, design and build project. The project will be procured using the IESE Major Framework and involve the early engagement of a contractor and its design team in the project process, working collaboratively with Hampshire Constabulary and the client team. Mace is offering a fully joined-up suite of services, with Sense Limited acting as cost managers for the project and Macro providing its space planning services.

The finished building will amalgamate services currently provided by several satellite operational buildings including finance and HR, Crime OCU, vehicle workshops and central archive facilities as well as all of the office functions currently accommodated at the existing HQ site at Winchester.

Mace is providing a full project management service for Hampshire Constabulary, managing the multi-disciplinary design team, appointing a develop and construct contractor through the IESE Tier 1 Framework and managing the planning and construction phases of the project. In addition the Mace team will oversee all client direct operations; such as enabling works, engagement with utility companies etc.


The principle aim of the project is to provide a purpose built facility by the creation of an efficient and effective working environment through design, an architectural contribution to Chandlers Ford that promotes a positive and friendly image of the Police force.
