Mace Group in Building's Good Employer Guide 2009

Mace Group has once again been ranked within the top 50 firms in The Good Employer Guide 2009, published by Building magazine. The top ranked companies were chosen from all firms within the British construction industry willing to take part and the winners were selected according to how their employees rated them in a questionnaire.
Employees were asked to grade their firms in six areas: corporate responsibility, smarter working, the feel good factor, inspiration, leadership and ability to contribute. Using these factors, Building created a questionnaire suitable for comparing various companies within the industry in search of the best companies to work for.
In addition each employer completed a questionnaire which asked for information about benefits offered to employees over and above salaries and bonuses, description of the sectors they worked in, the projects they were involved in and their workforce demographic.
According to the guide, Mace Group's employee benefits, comprehensive training programme, and opportunities to work around the world are what make it stand out as an employer. The group scored highest in the corporate responsibility, inspiration and ability to contribute categories for the second consecutive year.
