Mace Group breaks new market in Middle East

03/04/2009

Mace Group has won a major project in Syria, opening up a new market for the group. New client Bena Properties has appointed Mace as project and cost manager on a five star hotel in the capital, Damascus. The £63m project is situated on a small plot of land close to the airport and is subject to height restrictions and will be delivered to a tight, 33-month programme.

Elsewhere in the Middle East, Mace has secured two further projects to cement its position in the region. The first sees Mace appointed as project manager on the £220m, 41-storey headquarters for Elaf Bank in Bahrain.  Dubai Real Estate Corporation has appointed Mace as project manager on the masterplan for the urban regeneration of a large industrial district of Umm Ramool in Dubai.
