Role: Group Board Director
Michael joined Mace in 1992 having previously worked alongside the company's founders on the Broadgate project. Following a two year period engaged on a project to rationalise the DTI campus of the National Physical Laboratory, Michael was given the task of developing the company's partnership with British Airways. He was invited to join the board in 1996 having successfully developed the BA relationship.
His responsibilities as group board director include the development and operational control of all International business. The group's international operation has grown to employ more than 700 staff working across 30 countries and managed through five hub offices. The group's objective is to achieve global capability and recognition by 2010.
Michael graduated from Nottingham with a degree in Building Management. His experience prior to Mace was broad and included periods of employment with various domestic and international contractors and consultants. Two separate positions took him to Cairo and Paris where he held project management responsibility on several major schemes.
