Gareth Lewis
About Mace

Role: Group Board Director
Gareth started his professional career in design and build after a four year BSc in construction technology. He joined Mace in 1994, was promoted to director in 2001 and was invited to join the group board in 2006.
Gareth took a sabbatical from Mace between 1996 and 2000 during which time he was project director on the Royal Opera House millennium refurbishment. On completion of that project he returned to Mace and took operational control of the Merrill Lynch European headquarters project, the More London development and latterly the Terminal 5 project at Heathrow Airport, at the time the largest construction project in Europe.
Gareth's formal construction training together with much project management experience has given him a strong knowledge of the construction process from managing design teams through the design process to procurement, cost control and the construction and close out phases of projects.
Gareth was appointed to the Mace Group Board in December 2003 and is the group board director responsible for the construction management service offer, technology and aviation sector work and two of the group’s sister-companies: Mace Logistics and the Mace Business School.
